Job Summary:Examine and inspect materials, finished parts, and fabricated products for defects and wear to ensure conformance with work orders, diagrams, blueprints and customer specifications completeness.
Essential Functions:
- Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products and recommend necessary corrective actions.
- Examine and inspect materials, finished parts, and fabricated products for defects and wear to insure conformance to customer specifications
- Notify supervisors and other personnel of production problems and assist in identifying and correcting these problems.
- Discard or reject products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications.
- Mark items with details such as acceptance or rejection status.
- Record inspection data and calibration data.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Quality Control Analysis - Conduct inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
- Reading Comprehension - Understanding written instruction and details.
- Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
- Instructing - Teaching others how to perform tasks.
- Learning Strategies - Selecting and using training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new skills.
- Oral Expression - The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
- Oral Comprehension - The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through conversation.
- Problem Sensitivity - The ability to sense when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem. Alerting the necessary parties involved.
