We build the best mobile apps in sports.

Our digital and mobile products are used by 200 sports organizations in the NFL, NBA, Liga MX, MLS, NHL, AFL (Australia), F1 venues, and more.

YinzCam is looking for a Technical Product Manager to be responsible for the entire product lifecycle (ideation to scaled-out delivery) of the company's mobile/web/data products. The role requires working with designers, engineers, product owners, QA analysts, and project managers.

You are expected to be technical, and to be able to hold your own with engineers and designers. You are expected to have a CS background, and have built software products before.

You will additionally interface with our sports clients to understand their pain points, their wishes for specific solutions, and to work towards capturing product specifications in a way that scales to the needs of many. You will be involved in multiple products, from concept to delivery. You will be involved in documenting existing and new products. Your words will have significant cross-functional impact and will create lasting value.

THE ROLE

  • You will be conducting product discovery sessions, internally and externally.
  • You will be writing detailed business requirements.
  • You will be writing detailed technical requirements.
  • You will be creating sequence diagrams and technical-architecture documents.
  • You will be writing user stories and acceptance criteria for products.
  • You will be the gate-keeper for product testing and for ensuring that product requirements have been met.
  • You will be measuring and monitoring product KPIs, post-launch.
  • You will be the creator, owner, author, and maintainer of all of the documentation related to products.

THE REQUIREMENTS

  • Computer-Science background, with working knowledge of backend systems, product architecture, mobile-app architecture, quality assurance.
  • Working knowledge of design principles for mobile apps, including design guidelines for iOS and Android apps.
  • Track record of having delivered mobile apps from end-to-end, from concept to scale-out, to millions of users.
  • 5 years of experience with hands-on writing of high-quality code.
  • 5 years of experience with product documentation
  • 5 years of experience with product-management practices
  • 5 years of experience of working in fast-paced technical companies
  • 5 years of experience of working with JIRA for user-story and requirements writing
  • 5 years of experience with Visio, draw.io, lucidchart, sequence diagrams for user flow
  • Self-starter, with the ability to learn quickly and independently
  • Professional, articulate verbal and written communication
  • Attention to grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, and clarity of writing
  • Highly-organized, deadline-oriented, ability to thrive under pressure.
  • Willingness and ability to work the non-traditional hours of the sports industry.
