Geegah Inc. is Hiring an Electrical Engineer Near Ithaca, NY

Job DescriptionBoth New graduates and experienced electrical engineers are welcome to apply. Due to the nature of the work, only US Citizen applications will be considered at this time.RELOCATION ASSITANCE AVAILABLEGeegah is developing the world's first GHz ultrasonic transducers and imagers integrated within CMOS substrates. This position requires the successful candidate to be familiar with electrical engineering circuits aimed at developing electronic systems using novel piezoelectric transducers and imagers. The tasks will include:
  • Design and test circuits using LTSPICE and/or Cadence
  • Edit Printed Circuit boards using soldering equipment and 3D printers.
  • Use oscilloscopes and PCs to acquire data and process the data using Python coding.
Geegah’s goal is to revolutionize how we sense the world around us. We build ultrasonic imagers that operate at GHz frequencies and let people “see” things even without using light and acquire information they can’t get in other ways. Geegah envisions a much more efficient future in multiple industries and
sectors. These include but are not limited to Digital Agriculture, Lab R&D, Medical Imaging, Biometrics, Microfluidic Imaging, and Timing Devices.
Come and help us build these systems! We seek a Research and Development Engineer with robust Electrical Engineering fundamentals in hardware, software, and experimentation. We have different challenges that come up daily, so if you think you will be doing the same task
repeatedly, this is not the right job for you. One day, you will be designing experimental setups with automation using off-the-shelf components and 3-D printed parts; one day, you will be collecting new data from different samples using Geegah’s imagers and analyzing those images; one day, you will be
building your own PCB’s; one day, you will be assembling and testing Geegah imagers; one day, you will be helping us with our documentation and proposals; another day, you will be learning from your mentors or teaching them. We have an experienced team that features a collaborative and go-get-it-done environment with countless opportunities to grow both technically and professionally.
We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter who is passionate about engineering and can work in a fast-paced environment typical of a high-growth start-up. Below are more details on the successful candidate:
Key Qualifications

  • Presents the results of activities and experiments scientifically and professionally to the team, customers, or other audience
  • Contributes to technical publications and travels for conferences or product demonstrations
  • Identifies and works with vendors to obtain components with desired specifications
  • Uses software tools to perform product integration and testing tasks
  • Report to the Engineering Manager and the CTO for daily and long-term activities
  • Supports development and production staff in their tasks in solving issues and answering
  • questions regarding the ongoing tasks
  • Uses software tools for simulations and CAD design as needed
  • Able to go into the CNF cleanroom to design and microfabricate structures and devices using
standard microfabrication tools (photolithography, thin film deposition, plasma etching, etc.) or packaging tools. Required training will be provided.
