GEICO is Hiring a Senior Product Manager, Payments Near Chevy Chase, MD

GEICO is looking for an accomplished, customer obsessed, and results oriented Senior Product Manager to join GEICO's Billing Product team.
As Senior Product Manager, you will work cross-functionally to help deliver a new billing platform from conception to launch by connecting the technical vision and specific solutions needed to solve business and customer problems. You will break down complex problems into steps that drive product development. You will support cross-functional teams focused on improving the customer experience, modernizing our experience and platforms, and leapfrogging the competition to grow and maintain market share.
About This RoleIf selected, you will be part of the GEICO Product Billing team and responsible for working collaboratively with design and engineering partners to help deliver our billing roadmap. You will define the technical product requirements for billing solutions, while also coordinating/communicating between different workstreams. The ideal candidate will be comfortable rolling up their sleeves to do the work, while also influencing organizational change through proper scoping, process improvement, and positive team dynamics.
This position is a hybrid role, and it is required to be on-site 3 days a week at one of the following locations:

  • Seattle, WA
  • New York, NY
  • Dallas, TX
  • Richmond, VA
The ideal candidate is excellent at:
  • Leading cross-functional teams that drive results during product discovery and product delivery.
  • Leading technical product requirement definition through launch partnering closely with engineering.
  • Owning and prioritizing the long-term (6 months) product roadmap to deliver on business outcomes, working closely with a cross-functional team to ensure that all the right resources are aligned and your team will be successful.
  • Leveraging modern architecture & great design to identify problem-solution fit.
  • Evaluating trade-offs and negotiating requirements.
  • Creating and using compelling, informative artifacts to influence stakeholders (ex. Vision, Roadmaps, Features/Epics, Progress Updates, etc.).
  • Understanding of current and future state architecture.
  • Identifying and measuring KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), with an eye to adjusting and refining your roadmap as the data dictates.
  • Having an end-to-end understanding of features and how they fit into the larger ecosystem to be able to anticipate impacts from changes in other parts of the business.
  • Leading complex technical re-architecture of backend platform & capabilities.
  • Running experiments in an enterprise A/B testing & experimentation framework on complex web & mobile applications.
  • Having prior experience as a software developer, architect or quality assurance is highly desirable.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 5 years of experience in Product Management
  • At least 5 years of experience translating features into consumer or associate facing products
  • At least 5 years managing all aspects of a product feature throughout its lifecycle from concept to delivery
  • At least 5 years leading cross-functional teams that drive results during product discovery and product delivery
  • At least 1 year of billing or payments industry experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working on large complex software re-platforming projects
  • Experience driving product vision, go-to-market strategy, and design discussions
  • Experience managing day-to-day technical and design direction
  • Knowledge of multiple functional areas such as Product Management, Engineering, UX/UI, Sales, Customer Support, Finance, or Marketing
  • Ability to influence multiple stakeholders without direct authority
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Insurance or fintech industry experience preferred
  • High sense of accountability and strong problem-solving skills
Annual Salary$128,000.00 - $224,000.00
The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
