Position Summary:
This role will ensure the efficient day-to-day operations of all equipment in FCC’s MRF facilities
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Education Experience and Competencies:
- Develops and maintains PM program for processing equipment by scheduling and managing all maintenance activities
- Manages the operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; adhering to operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Ability to identify problems by observing mechanical devices in operation
- Manages full-time, temporary and contract maintenance personnel
- Develops and maintains contracts with vendors
- Ability to purchase and negotiate cost effective tools, parts and maintenance/repair service from suppliers
- Manages and avoids downtime by leading personnel in routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring adherence
- Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt
- Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
- Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- High School Diploma
- Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering
- Previous MRF experience
- 3-5 years of experience in an maintenance management role
- Experience with Microsoft Excel is required
- Strong attention to detail
