Title : Technical Project Manager (IT Infrastructure Projects)
Note: Candidate works as Hybrid, spending at least 2 days a week at the Evanston, IL Office.
Candidates are expected to put in approximately 40 hours per week. Daily start times are 8:30am during the weekdays. - Occasional overtime is expected if project “crunch time” requires it. - Occasional late-night hours or weekend may be required, however very minimal
Summary
Responsible for intake and delivery of projects that involve IT infrastructure, platforms, systems, architecture, or their related operation. The Technical Project Manager will also be responsible for communicating with all stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
The Project Manager will be working for a “IT Infrastructure and Operations team” which is one of 3 teams within the Shared IT. (along with IT Information Security, and IT Architecture and Governance.)
Projects in the Pipeline
- Implementing Microsoft 365 Copilot across the organization.
- Implementing Nasuni storage in various remote sites.
- Revamping the monitoring and alerting solutions.
- Upgrade all workstations to Windows 11.
- Design and implement Disaster Recovery across all the custom
PM tools used, Project Accelerator, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Planner.
REQUIRED
- Worked on IT Infrastructure and Architecture technical projects for 5 years.
- Must have participated (not necessarily owned) in at least one project with more than 9 months duration, and 20 person-year resources.
- Must have owned at least one 1-year long project.
- Background as an individual contributor in some technology discipline strongly preferred. (e.g., cloud engineer, system administrator, stack developer, network engineer, etc.).
- Have a working knowledge of technical Azure cloud-based components. (E.g., Virtual machines, networking, etc.)
Please note : Not expected to be an expert in any of these technologies, however a basic knowledge is necessary to understand the context of details provided by engineers.
