General Description/Purpose:
The Primary responsibility of this job is to operate CNC machines for the purpose of producing stainless steel parts as required per customer-supplied drawings.
Job Duties (including but not limited to):
• Operation of CNC machines
• Assemble, repair, and fabricate metal parts by operating mechanical equipment
• Assemble parts into sub-units or complete units
• Use blueprints and design sketches to ensure the proper dimensions and tolerance levels of the finished product
Work Schedule:
The work schedule is typically a fixed schedule with a 45-minute lunch. Incumbent should be flexible as some evening and weekend work may be required as determined by business need.
Essential Knowledge/Skills:
• Must be able to read and interpret simple to complex drawings.
• Basic computer skills are desired but not required.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple to complex work instructions in English is required.
• Ability to successfully communicate with a diverse personnel base is necessary.
Qualification Standards:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) equivalent; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 5 years of previous experience in operating controls is required
