Job Description:
Leads a team of virtualization, storage and back-up administrators to support the USSTRATCOM IT enterprise.
Directs the day-to-day activities of the EI team, ensuring attainment of all virtualization-, storage- and back-up-related service level agreements
Ensure the EI team follows activities are properly aligned to prescribed processes and procedures
Oversees support in defining and developing product architecture through the provision of designs and evaluation of virtualization, storage and back-up products in order to meet mission needs.
Leads the EI team's troubleshooting efforts to isolate and diagnose common system problems; documents system events to ensure continuous functioning.
Utilizes and ensures team's utilization of standard tools to record change and problem activities for tracking purposes.
Works closely with team members on testing, upgrades and configuration of system and services.
Evaluates and ensures team's changes are in accordance with appropriate operating procedures; recommends revisions or changes based upon results.
Oversees basic operation and maintenance support within a large sized Storage Area Network Enterprise environment.
Ensures team properly monitors operating system tasks, which includes memory and processor utilization.
Ensures team routinely conducts operational and possible faults checks.
Leads root cause analysis for virtualization, storage and back-up incidents and problems
Resolves matters of significance and implements corrective course of action as needed.
Assists team members on the development and analysis of system standards, thresholds and recommendations to maximize system performance.

#SCITLS The likely salary range for this position is $122,366 - $204,360. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
