General Excavation Inc. is seeking a experienced heavy equipment operator (specifically Excavator operator) in the Luray area. This position is full time (40-48 hours per week weather depending), and benefits include health insurance, paid holidays, and 401-K plan.
Heavy equipment operators are tasked with safely operating a variety of motorized equipment primarily utilized on highway construction and related site-work. Responsibilities for this position include operating equipment proficiently at the direction of site foremen and routine maintenance checks. Applicants must have skills necessary to operate heavy equipment in tight areas and/or near existing utilities. Successful candidates will have a minimum of 3 years of recent heavy equipment operation.
While we are primary looking for an excavator operator, experience with the following equipment is a plus:
GEI works on construction projects from the Shenandoah Valley to Northern Virginia. Equipment operators may be asked to fill in on other projects as needed
Responsibilities will include:
40-48 hours a week.
