GHC is seeking to fill the role of IT Project Manager. Our IT Project Manager is to be knowledgeable as a Tier II/III support engineer with hospitality experience to manage and support new projects as well as implementing and maintaining all brand IT standards. The position is also responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support for internal and external customer facing systems: guest room lock systems, TV systems, computers, networks, wiring, security cameras, and property management systems. This position reports to our Director of Information Technology,
Essential duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Oversee the planning, coordination, execution and completion of IT infrastructure for new builds and/or renovations as well as brand and hotel specific projects.
  • Identify and develop detailed timelines, milestones, management plans and risk assessment during the construction phase, up to and through, opening of the hotel.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and able to pivot often as project demands change.
  • Establish and provide high quality and informative written and verbal project communications including daily or weekly status updates on projects.
  • Work with outside contractors and vendors to efficiently escalate and prioritize tasks.
  • Manage all contractors to work to our standards.
  • Create documentation for all processes to assist with future equipment adjustments.
  • While on-site, establish videos for training of new equipment along with contractors.
  • Trouble shoot with contractor on site to find deficiencies.
  • Physical ability to move and lift equipment as well as climbing ladders, etc. to assist in installation and maintenance of equipment.
  • Installing cabling and equipment not provided by a contractor.
  • Self-motivated to find solutions and work through challenges while managing multiple projects at one time.
  • Travel to hotels (new/existing) and stay overnight based on needs of the project or job task. Travel percentage ranges but could be up to 70%.
  • Answer off-hour support calls (weekends/nights) when necessary.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have The Following Qualifications.
  • Prefer hotel industry experience
  • BA/BS Degree with 5 years of project delivery experience, technical background a plus
  • Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills
  • Highly self-motivated, self-directed and has an attention to detail
  • Ability to adjust schedule based on project needs
  • Ability to analyze, diagnose, replicate, troubleshoot, and resolve highly complex technical issues
