General Kinematics Vibrating Equipment is Hiring a Construction Manager Near Wabash, IN

DescriptionGeneral Kinematics Corporation is currently looking for a qualified Construction Manager to join our site team in Wabash, IN. The Construction Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects from start to finish, as assigned by the Senior Construction Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Responsibilities / Duties
  • Lead and manage all construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, schedules, and budgetary constraints.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders including subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution of construction activities.
  • Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure that construction work meets or exceeds industry standards and project requirements.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing all relevant safety regulations, conducting regular safety inspections, and addressing any safety concerns promptly.
  • Regularly monitor and report on the progress of construction activities, identifying potential delays or issues and implementing corrective measures as necessary.
  • Efficiently allocate resources including labor, equipment, and materials to optimize productivity and meet project milestones.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of construction activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for construction-related inquiries and issues, communicating effectively with project stakeholders and providing timely updates to senior management.
  • Identify and resolve construction-related challenges and conflicts in a proactive and professional manner, minimizing disruptions to the project schedule and budget.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to on-site construction teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with a proven track record of successfully overseeing complex construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and materials, with expertise in the industrial construction sector being a plus.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools, as well as MS Office Suite.
  • OSHA certification (10 or 30) and familiarity with safety regulations and best practices.
  • Flexibility to travel occasionally and work extended hours as needed to meet project deadlines.
