Position Summary:

Secures revenue by verifying and posting receipts, resolving discrepancies. Receives packing shipments and matches to correct invoice. Responsible for resolving issues regarding collections, adding freight charges to invoices, and billing through the online portal. Responsible for writing checks and making/receiving calls regarding payables.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable:

• Prepare, verify, and process invoices for sales or services rendered.
• Post transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records.
• Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
• Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status.
• Follow up on, collect, and allocate payments.
• Carry out billing, collection, and reporting activities according to specific deadlines.
• Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities.

Invoicing:

• Issue invoices and ensure accuracy in billing.
• Review sales orders and verify pricing.
• Communicate with clients to resolve invoice discrepancies and queries.
• Maintain records of all transactions and ensure documentation is complete and accurate.

Counter Sales:

• Assist customers in finding the products they need.
• Process sales and handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions accurately.

Answering Phones:

• Answer incoming calls promptly and courteously.
• Direct calls to appropriate staff or departments.
• Provide information and answer inquiries about services, billing, and other general topics.
• Take and relay messages accurately.
• Handle customer complaints or refer them to appropriate personnel.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
