ABOUT THE POSITION
We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in Manchester, CT. As the Staff Accountant, you will process or oversee the processing of financial transactions, analyze financial information and prepare reports, evaluate financial data to process and document transactions related to the company’s employee benefit plans (medical, dental and 401K plans), assist with month and year end close processes (post entries, reconcile bank/cash and other general ledgers).
This professional will also support audits, reviews and tax return preparation by external organizations, serve as a backup for accounts payable, payroll and cash receipts staff as well as any other ad hoc projects that may be assigned all while multi-tasking and prioritizing to meet deadlines in an accurate and timely manner.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and at least 3 years’ experience; willing to consider equivalent combination of education and experience
- General accounting principles knowledge skills preferred
- Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint and UltiPro a plus!
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Experience in the A/E/C industry preferred
This position will report to our Manchester, CT office and requires the professional to report to the office on Tuesday and Thursday each week.
