Job Description:
- The technologist performs Ultrasound procedures according to established protocol to obtain diagnostic information as ordered by a licensed physician or their designated health care provider.
- The Sonographer provides information to the patient about the purpose of the ultrasound procedure and responds to the patient's questions and concerns.
- The Sonographer recognizes the patient's individuality and provides quality care in a non-judgmental and non-discriminatory manner using professional and ethical judgment.
- The diagnostic medical sonographer maintains continued competence through lifelong learning, which includes continuing education, acquisition of specialty specific credentials, and re credentialing.
- Education High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
- Non Degree Program : Graduate of a two year AMA approved ultrasound technology program. (Required)
- (Appropriate Certification Required).
- Experience as an Ultrasound Technologist (Required)
- License/Certifications BLS - Basic Life Support (Required)
