Shift Details: Days (Rotating Weekends)
**Up To 15% bonus annual bonus, based on performance KPIs

Job Summary
Seeking a Laboratory Supervisor like you to provide expertise and champion results.

Expected Task:

• Supervise technical and/or non-technical laboratory personnel and assign areas/shifts
• Supervise and/or participate in processes, service levels, and regulatory compliance. Functional areas of responsibility may include, but are not limited to technical discipline areas in which the department is licensed, specimen collection, specimen processing, and specimen referral testing.
• Develop monitoring systems for the collection, documentation, and reporting of quality assessment and improvement data; extract pertinent information from quality assessment and improvement studies, initiate corrective action plans, and re-monitor result
• Concurrently monitor resource utilization, including payroll, supplies and expenses, client volume and revenue variation reports, outpatient volume reports, mileage, and expense logs; participates in MOR.
• Provides leadership in the coaching, guidance, training, and talent development of staff
• Screen, interview, and select qualified individuals for open positions within the department.

Experience Requirements:

• 5 years experience as a Medical Technologist IN ACUTE CARE REQUIRED *STRONGLY PREFER IT TO BE RECENT
• Prior supervisory experience is beneficial but not required

Education Requirements:

• 2-Year/Associate Degree in Science or Medical Laboratory Technician is required;
• 4-Year/Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology preferred

Certification/Licensure Requirements:

• FL State Supervisor License Required OR had already started the application process of obtaining it!
• Licensure in 3 technical specialties Required
• ASCP or AMT required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS)

Additional Information:

• What title does the supervisor report to? Reports to Manager, Laboratory Services
• How many MTs or MLTs report to the supervisor? Approximately 15 reports
• What % will the supervisor work the bench? Varies according to need. Expected to support technical staff and cover call-outs/vacations if no coverage.
