- Demonstrate the Winnebago Tribe’s core mission, vision, and values
- Under the direct supervision of the Laboratory Manager, the MT/MLT provides technical support by performing analyses, tests, and procedures that assist in the prevention, diagnosis, or treatment of diseases.
- Accessioning/ ordering tests in the Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and processing specimens with referral to the reference laboratories.
- Operates, maintains, and calibrates the equipment used to ensure it is operating efficiently and providing accurate results
- Performs basic troubleshooting as needed
- Maintain documentation according to regulatory agencies and write laboratory policies and procedures.
- Exposure to infectious clinical specimens on a regular basis, so adherence to sterilization and infection control procedures is required.
- This position is responsible for using his/her skill, accuracy, proficiency and dedication to work in all laboratory sections performing analytical testing on patients specimens.
- Candidate must demonstrate excellent customer service skills. Candidate must be comfortable with routine phlebotomy.

- Medical Laboratory Technician - Must have graduated from an approved school of Medical Technology/Laboratory Science with an Associate’s degree and be certified/registered by one of the following agencies: MLT(ASCP), MLT(AMT), CLT(NCA).
- Medical Technologist - Must have graduated from an approved school of Medical Technology/Laboratory Science with a bachelor’s degree and be certified/registered by one of the following agencies: MT(ASCP), MT(AMT), CLS(NCA).
- Minimum of one year of experience preferred.
- Knowledge of hospital laboratory practices, including infection control requirements, chemical and biological hazards.
- Knowledge of governmental and regulating policies and standards.

- Normal to light office work which includes the ability to lift up to 10 lbs.
- Regularly required to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods of time and use hands to operate computer keyboard, phone, and various office equipment.

- Works with minimal to no supervision
- Must possess the ability to read, write, and speak the English language fluently.
- Must be able to continually and effectively employ professional verbal and written communications skills.
