Position Details:Physical Therapist- Harrisonburg, VALocation : Harrisonburg, VA - 22801Project Duration : 3 monthsJob Summary:Staff Physical Therapists are responsible for direct patient care, evaluating and treating a variety of individuals based upon setting.
The successful candidate will exhibit strong: customer service skills, clinical skills, documentation, and patient outcomes.
They must practice with high moral and professional standards and be driven toward continuous professional development.
Effective time management and teamwork skills are an essential quality that will allow success in contributing to the operation of the Health System.
Have responsibilities towards supervision, and development, of assistants involved in the care of their patients.
Physical therapist for Inpatient, Outpatient, OR split IP/ OP schedule at a hospital-based clinic. Mon-Fri, no weekends. Evenings hours welcome if in outpatient.
Physical Therapist Job Responsibilities:
- Restores patient’s function, alleviates pain, and prevents disabilities by planning and administering medically prescribed physical therapy.
- Provides quality care by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results.
- Determines physical therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians or by prescription.
- Helps patient accomplish treatment plan by administering manual exercises, giving massages, and using equipment as necessary.
- Evaluates and records patient’s progress, modifying treatment plans, and trying new treatments if required.
- Evaluates the use and fit of prosthetic and orthotic devices by observing, noting, and observing patient’s progress; and recommending adjustments and modifications.
- Documents patient care services by charting in-patient and department records.
- Instructs patients in proper in-home exercises and therapies.
- Educates patients and their families about the recovery process and the challenges they will face.
