**Description**

**The Ideal Candidate**

The Retail Operations Coordinator- Store Projects provides operational support within the organization to ensure alignment with company objectives and communicates and directs internal Genesco departments and field personnel as it relates to Store Projects and general operational needs. You will act as the liaison between the Home Office and the field to ensure a smooth and efficient flow of projects and company initiatives.

**How You Will Make an Impact**

* Partner with Director of Retail Operations, VP of Store, SRSMs, RSMs and MMs ensuring field needs are met.

* Maintain strong relationships with Genesco business partners.

* Communicate and uphold company policies, initiatives, and goals.

* Coordinate with Logistics, Merchandising, Marketing, Store Planning, POS Support, Telecommunication, Accounting, Real Estate, Procurement, Facilities Management, and Field personnel for all new, relocating, remodeling, expanding and closing stores to ensure projects are completed timely and accurately.

* Visit new, relocating, remodeling, and expanding stores as needed to train and develop Store Openers and to ensure the process is working. Maintain and update store supplies.

* Update and maintain Store Opener Program.

* Gather specific information for each store location to be maintained in the LX system.

* Maintain new store operations reports.

* Train & Lead Store Openers to ensure projects are being handled in the proper manner.

* Schedule and lead all field project calls for all types of projects. .

* Follow-up on store maintenance issues and construction punch list items.

* Assist in the management of all major store incidents and disasters.

* Develop policies/procedures to improve the effectiveness of the store project process.

* General operational functions; Report creation, travel arrangements, expense reporting, maintaining online calendar, phone support, and greeting visitors, maintaining office supplies, and invoice management.

* Participate in the daily management of key programs and general office operational functions.

**Experience and Skills You'll Need to Have**

* 1 to 3 years experience in a retail organization.

* Bachelors degree- preferred

* Strong Project Management Skills

* Solid business acumen and understanding of profit drivers with the ability to provide insight to support company needs

* Advanced organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task

* Ability to provide clear communication for field organization

* Experience with and full working knowledge in the following: Word, Excel and PowerPoint

* Accurate Record Keeping ability, maintaining both hard-copy and electronic filing systems
