Transportation and Train Crew
SUMMARY : The person in this position plans and coordinates safe, efficient, and proper makeup of outbound trains and switching of inbound trains.
He or she ensures that trains are in compliance with all regulations and rules; oversees yard switching crews in a supervisory role, and ensures crew members are following safety rules when performing work.
This person also assigns switching duties to crews, prioritizes work in order to meet customer needs, and communicates with managers for efficient coordination and scheduling of trains and crews in and out of switching yards.
bachelor’s degree preferred Five years of work experience in the railroad industry, with supervisory duties; seven years of work experience in the railroad industry preferred This position is employed by the specific entity set forth in the job posting.
