OverviewThe Oncology Sales Consultant, Targeted Medicine, plays a critical role in promoting and selling targeted medicine products within the oncology market. This position is vital in driving sales and revenue for the organization, as well as building and maintaining strong relationships with healthcare professionals and institutions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets for targeted medicine products in the oncology market.
  • Educate healthcare professionals on the benefits, features, and appropriate use of targeted medicine products.
  • Collaborate with oncologists, hematologists, and other healthcare professionals to identify opportunities for targeted medicine products.
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key opinion leaders, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare decision-makers.
  • Attend and actively participate in relevant oncology conferences, seminars, and symposiums.
  • Provide accurate and timely reports on sales activities, market trends, and customer feedback.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments relevant to targeted medicine products.
  • Conduct product presentations, workshops, and training sessions for healthcare professionals.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to healthcare providers, addressing their inquiries and concerns effectively.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, medical affairs, and market access to achieve business objectives.
  • Participate in regional and national sales meetings, training, and product launches.
  • Utilize customer relationship management (CRM) tools to manage and track sales activities, customer interactions, and performance metrics.
  • Comply with all relevant industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards in sales and marketing activities.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of sales strategies, promotional materials, and customer engagement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, business, or related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MSc) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of successful pharmaceutical or biotech sales experience, preferably in oncology or targeted medicine.
  • Demonstrated understanding of oncology, including disease pathways, treatment modalities, and cancer-specific terminology.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and performance metrics in a competitive healthcare environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate scientific and clinical information to diverse audiences.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and healthcare economics.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic sales environment.
  • Proficiency in utilizing CRM software and other digital tools to optimize sales performance and customer interactions.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain influential relationships with healthcare professionals and key stakeholders.
  • Strong ethical mindset, adherence to compliance standards, and commitment to upholding high ethical and professional standards.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours based on customer needs and business demands.
  • Certification in pharmaceutical sales or relevant professional qualifications is a plus.
