Genesis10 is seeking a .NET Developer for a contract to hire position with our financial client located in New York, NY. This is a hybrid position and requires being onsite 2 days per week.

Summary:

Technology group is looking for a .NET Developer to join the Institutional Client Reporting/Services Development Team. This role involves collaborating closely with teams in New York and Chicago to respond to our rapidly evolving organization.

As part of an agile team, you will be involved in the analysis, design, development, and implementation of applications, systems, and processes that address business needs and align with a multi-year roadmap. Additionally, as a member of the wider Technology Team, you will contribute to firm-wide technology initiatives by integrating best practices and technology standards across the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Application Development: Engage in the full life cycle of application development, including analysis, design, development, and implementation.
• Agile Collaboration: Actively participate in Agile processes, including Scrum methodology, working in sprints on stories defined and prioritized by product owners.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to ideate, estimate, and implement solutions. Participate in code reviews and share knowledge to aid future development and support.
• Communication: Effectively interact with business units to understand requirements and contexts. Communicate clearly and logically with team members and stakeholders.
• Innovation: Challenge the status quo by asking "why " before executing. Look for better ways of doing things while being economically minded and opportunistic.
• Architectural Decisions: Be involved in and responsible for architectural and design decisions.
• Technical Leadership: Actively code in the current technology stack, solve production issues, and demonstrate a sense of personal and team accountability.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Educational Background: BS/MS in Computer Science or a similar discipline.
• Industry Experience: Experience in the Financial Services Industry, with Asset Management as a plus.

Technical Expertise:

• 3-5 years of application development experience in modern OO languages like C#, using enterprise frameworks and design patterns.
• Strong skills in developing applications, systems, and processes using C#/.NET, MS SQL Server, and Snowflake.
• Solid understanding and experience with databases, database designs, data transformation, and comprehensive stored procedures development.
• Experience with scheduling platforms (e.g., Tidal, Autosys).
