Genesis10 currently has a Director of Finance role for a hospital in Staten Island, NY. Must be on-site 4 days a week.

Job Description:

The Director of Finance will provide leadership and coordination of the Medical Center's internal and external financial reporting and financial operations, including direct supervision of Financial Reporting, budgeting, cost accounting and process improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the monthly internal reporting package for executive teams.
• Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and oversee the annual budgeting process in collaboration with department directors.
• Monitor budget performance and prepare forecasts to ensure financial goals are met.
• Provide insightful financial analysis, variance analysis, and performance metrics to support decision-making by hospital leadership.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to staff in financial matters.
• Work with external auditors for all audits and preparation of tax returns.
• Be proactive in identifying and implementing process improvements across the organization to increase efficiency within financial reporting.
• Responsible for improving processes, controls, and quality over monthly close and financial reporting.
• Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.

Qualifications:

• 5 years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience in a hospital setting
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field (MBA and/or CPA preferred)
• Expertise in cost accounting, hospital budgeting, and hospital revenue estimation
• Experience with Strata or other cost accounting systems and financial software
• Strong knowledge of healthcare finance, reimbursement, and regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrated experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
