Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate care to patients and support our medical staff in delivering high-quality healthcare services.
Duties:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
- Perform physical examinations and health assessments
- Assist in medical procedures including IV infusion and sterile processing
- Provide care for patients with infectious diseases and urgent care needs
- Conduct specimen collection processing and assist with laboratory testing
- Support patients in memory care units with specialized attention
- Collaborate with the medical team to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Document patient information accurately and maintain medical records
Requirements:
- Valid LPN license in the state of practice
- Proficiency in ICD-9 coding and electronic health records systems
- Experience in DME (Durable Medical Equipment) management
- Ability to perform physical examinations and assess patient conditions
- Knowledge of ER protocols and ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with patients, families, and medical staff
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays if required
