PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSISTANT (PTA) FOR 13 WEEK CONTRACT IN ALAMOGORDO, NM!

Travel Contract (Must Reside 75 Miles Away)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to assist in providing therapeutic treatments to patients to improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit physical disabilities. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a commitment to patient care, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

$1,782.00 per Week (Taxed Non-Taxed)

Day Shift

5x8 Hr. Shifts (40 Hrs. per Week)

Responsibilities:

• Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist.
• Assist patients in performing exercises and activities as directed.
• Monitor and document patients' progress during therapy sessions.
• Provide patients with education and instructions for continued care at home.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow.
• Prepare treatment areas and equipment.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Report patient progress and any changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards, including HIPAA.
• Ensure the treatment environment is safe and clean.
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• 1 years of experience in a physical therapy setting (Geriatrics & Orthopedics).
• Prefer someone with experience in Cardio, ER, ICU, Med / Surg, & Neuro.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift patients and equipment.
