Genius Kids is an award-winning franchise, and we are growing. We are looking for a dedicated, passionate, reliable, and responsible individual to help run our Harrisburg location. As a child care center assistant director, your job is to help the center director supervise our child development center and watch over children on behalf of their parents. In this role, you may help teach kids how to play games, provide early childhood education, and otherwise ensure a safe and healthy environment. You will also help staff with methods and strategies to support quality learning in their classrooms.
Assistant Director
Duties:
-Developing an effective staff schedule and routine that meets the needs of the center
- Helping Director develop and implement educational programs and initiatives
- Oversee curriculum development and ensure alignment with educational standards
- Provide senior leadership and guidance to the education team
- Educate and engage students through innovative teaching methods
- Collaborate with director, teachers, and staff to create a positive learning environment
- Conduct strategic planning to improve educational outcomes
- Manage classroom activities and promote student success
- Coordinate family and staff conferences in efforts to support educational programs
- Provide leadership in the development and execution of the organization's mission and vision
-Hiring staff and making sure all paperwork or trainings required by DHS and Genius Kids are collected or completed.
-Enrolling children and making sure all documents required by DHS are received and in the child's file.
Qualifications:
- At least an associate's degree Education or related field (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others
- Experience working with students of all ages and diverse backgrounds
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively
- Proficient in strategic planning and problem-solving
- Knowledge of fundraising strategies and grant writing
