We are looking for a competent Terminal Assistant to perform various administrative and clerical tasks to support our terminal. The ideal candidate will undertake a variety of activities in the office ranging from filing and answering the phone to basic bookkeeping.

An effective Terminal Assistant has the ability to work diligently to help maintain smooth office operations. The selected candidate must be reliable and hardworking with great communication skills. The ideal candidate will also be familiar with office equipment and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders or optical scanners
• Assist in generating import/export documents
• Type in data provided directly from customers
• Create spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes
• Verify data by comparing it to source documents
• Update existing data
• Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested
• Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation
• Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost
• And other duties as assigned by management

Skills:

• Experience as data entry clerk
• Knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.)
• Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices
• Basic understanding of databases
• Good customer service skills
• Great attention to detail

Experience:

• Data entry: 1 year (Preferred)
• Excel: 1 year (Preferred)
• Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
• Bilingual (Spanish): Preferred

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• No nights
• No weekends
