Shift Supervisor Responsibilities

The Shift Supervisor is to ensure that all personnel are familiar with, and comply, with Genric policies and procedures.
Responsible for making sure all Officers are on post and completing each of their daily tasks.
Responsible for the welfare of those assigned to your shift.
Ensure that all personnel allocated to the shift are correctly briefed on their assignment.
Schedule all regular positions and all extra coverage that occurred on your shift.
Advise the Site Manager if he/she believes an operation puts the client at an unacceptable level of risk.
Conduct spot checks on all personnel under your responsibility to ensure that they are carrying out their duties correctly.
Ensure all Security Officers have the necessary equipment to perform their rules.
Ensure all post orders are in place.
Ensure all Time Sheets are accurately completed and submitted.
Ensure all company and operational communications are disseminated to the Security Officers.
Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely and legible manner:
- Incident Reports
- Statement forms
- Accident Reports
Ensure that all C-TPAT reports are completed and forwarded in a timely manner to Genric Management.
Address team members, contractor, and visitor parking violations.
Ensure all Genric Log sheets are completed correctly, and any issues resolved.
Ensure all Genric Service Reports are completed, and any issues resolved.
Be available to the client throughout your shift via telephone.
Respond to all emergencies and assist the Incident Command.
Coordinate transportation for all emergency personnel.
Respond to all panic alarms and follow the security responder’s instructions.
Ensure the truck gate is running efficiently and according to set procedures and policies, addressing any issues and concerns in a timely manner.
Review all documentation completed by Genric personnel prior to submission.
Maintain vehicle inspection forms and equipment log ensuring accuracy.
Ensure adherence to Genric’s Driving Standards Policy.
Suggest and implement any improvements in procedures.
Highlight equipment deficiencies or potential improvements.
Periodically patrol site.
Pick up/Sort/Deliver Mail (1st shift)
Deliver any necessary documentation to HR.
Carry out other instructions as required.
May be required to work in inclement weather.
May be required to work Overtime.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age
Possess High School diploma or equivalent
Possess a valid driver's license
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
Some security experience is preferred but not mandatory
Possessing security license is preferred but not mandatory. Will train and license if necessary
