SUMMARY
The primary purpose of the Slab Warehouse Specialist is to guide customers, using patience and diplomacy, through layout selection. The Specialist must safely and productively handle slabs by utilizing machinery and equipment, and diligently honor customer requirements while simultaneously managing inventory effectiveness.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direction of the Department Supervisor:

1. To read, interpret, and work from templates, designs and drawings
2. To safely utilize a comprehensive array of mechanical lifting equipment and techniques
3. To physically maneuver pieces using excellent lifting techniques and safety consciousness
4. To match seams utilizing material characteristics, and color and vein discrimination
5. To demonstrate expert knowledge of fabrication requirements when laying out slabs in ways that maximize quality and minimize waste
6. To manage and maintain slab labeling systems
7. To manage CRM systems to best meet job order requirements and cost controls
8. To safely and efficiently load, unload, maneuver and position slabs
9. To guide and educate customers
10. To demonstrate continuous, excellent safety conscientiousness by following safety standards in all work areas
11. To effectively work with department team members to create efficiencies
12. To show adaptability by managing production through varying demand cycles
13. To continuously maintain exemplary housekeeping standards
