Job Title: CAD Drafter

Job Description:

• We are seeking a skilled Product Definition Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will translate engineering requirements into product definition data to communicate specifications to downstream customers. You will be responsible for creating, validating, and maintaining product definition data, ensuring it meets company and industry standards. This role involves working closely with engineering and other stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and quality of product data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate engineering requirements into product definition data, including detail, assembly, and installation drawings, CAD data, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Validate completed product definition data against company and industry standards.
• Create and maintain product definition data processes.
• Maintain product/part structure and configuration management of product components.
• Translate sketches, layouts, and written specifications into product definition data based on applicable standards and established precedents.
• Perform self-validation of product definition data to ensure accuracy.
• Work closely with teammates to ensure quality and completeness of projects.
• Pull and work on packages from a queue, coordinating with the team to meet deadlines and quality standards.

Required Skills:

• Completed a 2-year design degree (or close to completion).
• 1 years of experience in CATIA, CAD, and AutoCAD.
• Relevant coursework in creating 3D models (SolidWorks, CATIA, other 3D software).
• Relevant coursework in using 2D/3D dimensioning to define 3D parts.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with engineering and other stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
• Previous Boeing experience.
• Software certifications.
• Mechanically inclined (experience with machines, working on cars, etc.).
• Passion for the aerospace industry and design.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

• 8 hour shift
