Genuine Search Group is Hiring a Facilities Specialist Near New York, NY

Our client is an established asset management firm with their headquarters located in Midtown, Manhattan. They are seeking a Facilities Associate to oversee daily and continuous cleaning for their offices, public spaces, kitchens and restrooms from Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of all areas, including offices, common areas, public spaces, drinking fountains, kitchen areas, and restrooms. Perform routine cleaning tasks to maintain a tidy environment.
  • Carry out both light and heavy cleaning duties, such as dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors. Maintain furniture by polishing and dusting, and ensure all trash receptacles are emptied regularly.
  • Assist with the coordination and handling of food deliveries and catering services. Set up and break down for events, including arranging furniture, preparing refreshments, and serving as needed.
  • Provide general assistance to maintain seamless office operations, including preparing meeting rooms, managing waste disposal, and ensuring all areas remain clean and orderly throughout the day.
  • Act as a point of contact for facility-related inquiries and requests from staff members, ensuring a timely and effective response to address any issues or concerns.
  • Monitor and assess the need for supplies, including cleaning materials and office essentials. Report inventory levels to the supervisor to ensure timely replenishment and avoid shortages.
  • Follow established safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Identify potential hazards and take corrective action to prevent accidents.
  • Manage the ordering, receiving, and inventory of food and beverages for the office. Ensure proper storage and handling of all items to maintain quality and safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • 2 years experience in facilities management in hospitality or a corporate setting.
