Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Estimator to join our team. This role is ideal for recent graduates in Civil Engineering or Construction Management who are eager to begin their careers in the construction industry or someone early in their career looking to gain more experience. The Junior Estimator will assist in preparing cost estimates, analyzing project requirements, and supporting the estimating team in bid preparation and project budgeting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to determine material, labor, and equipment costs.
• Collaborate with senior estimators and project managers to develop comprehensive bid proposals.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare material lists.
• Solicit and review subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Maintain and update historical cost data and unit prices.
• Assist in identifying potential cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as required.
• Support the estimating team in preparing bid presentations and documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Previous Estimating experience preferred but not required.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with estimating software is a plus but not required.
