GEOMET is seeking to fill the position of Freight & Customer Care Specialist. This position is responsible for overseeing and managing the supply chain process to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of goods.

This role involves coordinating with suppliers, transportation providers, and internal teams to optimize logistics operations, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Coordinate Shipments : Manage and oversee the transportation of goods from suppliers to customers, including scheduling, routing, and tracking shipments.
  • Customer Service : Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Supplier and Carrier Management : Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and transportation providers to ensure reliable and cost-effective service.
  • Documentation and Compliance : Prepare and review shipping documents, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs paperwork.

Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations.

Qualifications :

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration and / or 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience : Minimum 2-3 years of experience in freight planning or a related role. Prior experience at a TL or LTL carrier is a plus.

Skills :

  • Strong organizational and a high level of accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills, including writing, speaking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations.
  • Scheduling freight movement experience.
  • Demonstrates a professional and ethical demeanor.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good collaboration and team working abilities.
  • Ability to take direction well and great follow-through.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
