Job Title: Surveyor in Training (S.I.T. )
Summary/Objective:
GeoPoint Surveying, Inc. is a land surveying firm with multiple locations, specializing in land development, remote sensing, energy, geospatial mapping, commercial surveys and subsurface utility engineering.
A Surveyor in Training (S.I.T.) is the beginning point in becoming a Professional Land Surveyor. SIT certification allows time to obtain additional education and/or experience as you move towards licensure as a Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS).
Essential Job Functions:
- Coordinate with administrative staff to manage multiple field crews
- Perform Boundary Calculations
- Draft Survey & Subdivision Plats
- Prepare Metes and Bounds Descriptions
- Work with clients to ensure a complete product is delivered on time
- Candidates must have an active SIT License from the State of Florida or actively in the process of obtaining one
Requirements:
- Active SIT License from the State of Florida or actively in the process of obtaining one
- Boundary and Development (Platting) Experience
Physical Demands:
- Frequently sit, stand, or walk
- May lift, carry, push, or pull objects of various weights
- May reach, kneel, crouch, bend, or twist
- Some other physical demands may come up
Work Environment:
- Desk/Workstation may be located in a confined area
- Moderate noise indoors/outdoors (i.e., computers, phones, printers, and traffic)
- Able to work well in a team environment as well as being self-motivated and driven
Travel:
- Some travel may be required
