Summary of the position: The Mobile Medication Technician is responsible for care of assigned consumers under the direct supervision of the Mobile Medication Nursing Staff. The medication technician will provide in-home and/or follow-up support to consumers under the direction of the Mobile Medication Nursing Staff, perform assigned interventions as identified in the comprehensive treatment plans to address physical and behavioral health needs using recovery tools and principles, and review consumer progress in self administration of medication. The Technician can also expect to consult with the treatment team to develop transition plans to traditional services as consumers complete treatment goals, provide training to consumers regarding health and hygiene methods, infection control procedures, and signs and symptoms of illness, and have a working knowledge of psychotropic medications that consumers are prescribed. Knowledge of prescribed medications that consumers are taking as well as any possible side effects, dosages, and times medications are administered is also a responsibility of the Mobile Medication Technician.

Requirements:

• High School education or equivalent; candidates with mental health recovery experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience serving seriously mentally ill adults.
