As an Administrative Assistant within the NCHD Babies Can't Wait Program at the Georgia Department of Public Health, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways.
Job Responsibilities Under direct supervision, perform various BCCP/Women's Health duties including daily administrative duties and outreach activities as needed. Perform a wide variety of BCCP duties as required daily by the program which includes filing, faxing, photocopying, and opening incoming mail daily. Work with accuracy and attention to detail with patient paperwork. Ability to communicate effectively in writing, orally, and with others to understand and convey information, in a manner consistent with the job. Help prepare and process BCCP forms and paperwork for managers to approve for payment. Ability to lift and/or move boxes up to 30 lbs. Ability to stand for extended periods of time while working outreach events indoors/outdoors. Assist with scheduling and coordinating appointments for BCCP. Assist with making reminder calls/ letters to eligible women for returning for services.
Minimum Qualifications High school diploma/GED and two (2) years of job-related experience.
