Description

Our client in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania is in need of locum orthopedic surgery nurse practitioners from September 1, 2024 - March 1, 2025. This is an onsite call only 24/7 need at a level 2 adult trauma center, and the facility is looking to bring on several providers to build a 24/7 schedule. Providers will be working any orthopedic cases that come in - OR first assist on any orthopedic surgery case, ED consults, and rounding, Details below!

• Position: Nurse Practitioner - Orthopedic Surgery
• Position Type: Contract, 1099
• Facility: Medical Center in Camp Hill, PA
• Schedule: TBD 
• Caseload/Coverage Details: Inpatient; First Assist to orthopedic cases in OR; respond to ED pages; ICU rounding & ortho specific bedside procedures; anticipate 2 APCs during the day and 1 at night; trauma team consisting of 2-4 doctors between ortho and trauma core team with trauma APP and general surgery provider onsite 24/7; procedures include suturing, fracture reductions, OR first assist; rounding

Requirements

• Active PA Medical License
• At least 2 years experience as a nurse practitioner
• Must be comfortable working independently then calling trauma or orthopedic surgeons for backup
• Must have First Assist Experience
• ACLS Certification
