Georgia Nephrology is Hiring a Korean Speaking Medical Assistant Near Lawrenceville, GA

Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Korean speaking Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in the delivery of patient care and support to our CKD/ESRD patient population. This position is perfect for a motivated individual with a strong foundation in anatomy and physiology knowledge. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing medical assistance to adult patients.

Responsibilities include:

  • Rooming patients, taking manual vital signs, and updating patient records
  • Including but not limited to: medication reconciliation, assisting with facilitating referrals to specialty care, imaging, or laboratory studies as ordered by the physician. Coordinates with others to make sure the patient is appropriately set up for any required lab studies or imaging.
  • Prepares for patient office visits Verifying that lab, x-ray, or procedure reports are available for the provider.
  • Answers phone calls, provides patient education, and maintains assigned clinical inboxes in EPIC electronic medical record system.
  • Ability to effectively determine response priority and level for patient telephone calls and patient portal messages
  • Provide provider support services in office and dialysis unit settings
  • Occasional travel to dialysis units
  • Occasional travel to other office sites
  • Provide triage assistance when not paired with a provider
  • Includes answering patient questions/emails, assisting with prescription refills, and helping coordinate patient care with MDs for urgent patient questions
  • Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Ability to communicate clearly/effectively with patients in a courteous and friendly manner
  • Exercises sound judgment when dealing with challenging and stressful situations.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested.
  • Must maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
