Georgia Pain and Spine Care is Hiring a Clinical Laboratory Analyst Near Stockbridge, GA

Full-Time/Full-BenefitsThe position will be responsible for the preparation of urine specimens for toxicological analysis via clinical analyzer and LC-MS/MS instrumentation. Prepares all samples following written SOPs. Consults with Analyst or lab management when problems arise. Prepares all reagents and standards to be used in sample analysis. Creates and submits batches on analytical instrumentation. Participates in all proficiency testing and ensures compliance to regulatory accreditations.
Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Assist lab personnel with processing/prepping urine specimens for testing on AU480 immunoassay and/or API4000 LC-MS/MS confirmation.
Assist lab personnel with allocating samples, calibrators, and controls.
Assist lab personnel with administrative duties as needed including shipping/receiving supplies, inventory, reporting, and miscellaneous office tasks.
Receives and records lab test results (may include outside medical records) via telephone or computer and ensures that those results and related reports are with the patient’s medical record at the time of the patient’s next visit.
Basic knowledge of laboratory quality control and assurance procedures and principles, i.e. follow standard operating procedures and filling out required forms/logs.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by laboratory staff to include answering of phones, data entering, inventory, ordering and others on a as needed basis.
Adhering to CLIA requirements and safety protocols. Practices patient confidentiality and privacy protocols in accordance to Clinic policies and HIPAA requirements.
Clean equipment, such as glassware, coolers, sinks, tables, samplers using solvents, water and detergents or acids according to Standard Operating Procedures.
Knowledge of drugs of abuse and controlled substances preferred
Reliable transportation and valid driver's license (may act as courier to pick up specimens from clinics)
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities)Required Degree of Bachelor's degree in chemistry or biology
Flexible, have an excellent work ethic, be a quick learner, enjoy multi-tasking and staying organized and understand the importance of a positive, courteous and a professional attitude in the workplace
