Georgia state government is Hiring an Assistant Director, Data Analytics - State Based Exchange Near Atlanta, GA

Under limited supervision, the Assistant Director, Data Analytics is responsible for data systems development and coordination for all components of the Georgia Access – State Based Exchange.

Analyze business needs and participate in the planning, design, and implementation of new or enhanced systems.

Oversees the evaluation of the unit's internal processes, procedures, and technologies to improve efficiency and ensure quality. Provides expert assistance to customers in planning their IT needs.

Schedules downtime and preventive maintenance activities required to keep all equipment in good operating condition.

Develops and implements quality controls and departmental standards to ensure quality standards, organizational expectations, and regulatory/compliance (federal/state) requirements, as needed.

Builds, develops, and maintains data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards and performance metrics support that support key business decisions.

Assists the Executive Director with the development and organization solutions for operational data reporting responsive to all Georgia Access functional areas.

Establishes and maintains partnerships with technology staff and the department Project Manager to develop and prepare data dashboards.

Develops data critical to support the Engagement Team’s efforts to certify individuals (agents, Navigators, and Certified Application Counselors) assisting qualified individuals enrolling in coverage.

Creates a community of practice related to data management and reporting.

Provides tools to allow subordinate staff to work directly with the data in the system to create custom reports, dashboards, and analytics .

Interviews, hires, directs, trains, evaluates the performance of, and when necessary.

Serves as advanced level subject matter expert, providing authoritative guidance for professional staff.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related discipline from an accredited college or university AND Eight years of job specific experience that includes extensive experience in the area of information and data management, logistics and business/process improvement OR One year of experience at the lower level Mgr 3, Information Technology (ITM022) or position equivalent.
