Areyoualeaderwithapassionforutilizingyourexperience,innovation,andprojectmanagementskills to serve others?DBHDD is seeking a creative and dedicated professional to become the Executive Director of the Georgia Opioid Crisis Abatement Trust.

The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) serves people living with mental health challenges, substance use disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, or any combination of these.Operating five state hospitals and providing for community- based services delivered by DBHDD’s community-based behavioral health providers, including CommunityServiceBoards(CSBs),DBHDDisGeorgia’spublicsafetynetwithaprimaryresponsibilityto serve people who are uninsured, on Medicaid, or with few resources or options.

TheExecutiveDirectoroftheGeorgiaOpioidCrisisAbatementTrustwillprovideleadershipandsupport for the Georgia Opioid Trust.The Executive Director will have primary responsibility for the daily operations, coordination, and execution of executive functions for the Trust.Serving as the point of contact for the Georgia Opioid Crisis Abatement Trust, the Executive Director will collaborate with Opioid Trust, government entities, and providers.The Executive Director will report directly to the Georgia Opioid Crisis Abatement Trustee while working independently to meet the needs of the Trust.

Keyfunctionsinclude:

·FacilitationoftheOpioidTrust:

Leadstheday-to-dayoperationsoftheOpioid Trust

ServeastherecordkeeperfortheTrustandmaintainrequireddocumentation.

OversightofanyassociatedfinancialactivityrelatedtotheoperationsoftheTrust, including invoicing, payments and financial reconciliation.

Serveastheprimaryrecordkeeperbydocumentingandmaintainingthepermanent records of the Trust.

ServeasthecentralpointofcontactandactastheliaisonfortheOpioidTrust,including with local government entities, Trust members, the public and other stakeholders as required.

Maintain a collaborative approach to fulfilling the compliance responsibilities of the OpioidSettlementrequirementsbytheTrust,bydevelopingtoolsandpracticestoallow for the submission of information to the Trust by partners, government entities and other stakeholders.

Communication&Marketing:

Responsiblefordevelopingandexecutingthecommunicationandmarketinginitiatives, materials, and platforms (print, website,electronic, social media, etc.) forthe program.

Internalcommunicationandmarketing:Developandmaintainsolutionstoallowforthe sharing of information between trust members and its partners.

Externalcommunicationandmarketing:Develop,maintain,andexecutestrategiesfor the Opioid Trust designed to promote the Trust’s mission, advance stakeholder engagement and encourage input and participation.

ResponsibleformaintainingtheTrust’swebsitewithcurrentinformationanddata, providing awareness of the program and allowing opportunities for feedback.

Manage the Trust information within a CRM/database to facilitate effective communicationthrougheffortssuchaslistservs,membershipdirectoriesandother tools.

Developanddistributemarketingmaterialsasrequestedandneeded.

Assistwiththedevelopmentandtheconductingofresearch,customreporting,surveys, and data analysis, including efforts with potential third-party partners.

DesiredMinimumQualifications

Candidatesmayemergefromnonprofit,foundation,government,orindustrybackgroundsandshould possess:

Education:

·The minimum education required for this position is graduation from an accredited college or universitywithagraduatedegreeinbusiness,publicadministration,health-careadministration, or another human-services related field.

Experience:

·Aminimumoffiveyears’experienceofexecutiveleadershipatanonprofit,industry, government, foundation, behavioral health, or healthcare organization.

·Aminimumoffiveyearsofexperiencereportingdirectlytoaboardofdirectorsorotherrelated governing body structure that has policy, operational, and fiduciary authority and responsibilities or experience reporting directly to the person who reports to the board or governing body.

·Aminimumoffiveyears’experienceleadingateamofpeopleasasupervisor,manager,or director.

·Experiencewithdifferentfunctionsofabusinesssuchasmarketing,publicrelations,human resources, and financial management.

RelatedSkills,Knowledge,andAbilities:

·Abilitytoworkindependently,setandachieverealisticgoals,andsolveproblemscreativelywith minimal oversight.

·Abilitytorespondtochangingcircumstances,manageorganizationalandfinancialrisk,and adapt during periods of transition and uncertainty.

·Abilitytocommunicatepersuasivelyandconcisely,orally,inwriting,andelectronically,witha broad range of individuals,groups, and organizations and develop andmaintaincollaborative and supportive relationships.

·Skillinadministeringcontracts,formulatingprogramplanswithgoalsandobjectives,preparing and presenting reports and budget requests, and conducting effective community and public relations is required.

·Abilitytoengageinlogical,analytical,andrationalthinkinganduseautomateddataand information to make decisions.

·Strongcomputerskillswiththecapabilitytoeffectivelyuseemail,databases,andrelated business communication tools.

·Knowledgeofbehavioralhealthservices,particularlyrelatedtosubstanceabuseservices.

Anequivalentcombinationofexperienceandeducationwillbeconsideredsatisfactoryforthe position.
