Job Summary:
Under direct supervision, assists technicians and laboratory scientists with data or specimen collection and laboratory procedures. Performs laboratory related housekeeping, clerical and store keeping duties.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Assists in the collection of information and/or samples, such as blood, water, soil, plants, food, and animals
Cleans, maintains, and prepares supplies and work areas
May assist with laboratory procedures under appropriate supervision
Prepares samples or specimens for testing
Receives and logs samples into laboratory information systems
Sets up, cleans, and maintains laboratory and field equipment
Sets up, operates, and maintains laboratory instruments and equipment
Uses computers, computer-interfaced equipment, robotics and high technology Industrial applications to perform work duties
