The Director of AACE provides administrative oversight for all aspects of the Access and Accommodations Center for all campus locations.

What will you be doing?
The Director has oversight for the planning, analyzing, and development of effective policies, procedures, and methods of service provision.
•The Director manages daily operations, general office coverage, record maintenance, and tracking systems.
•The Director provides oversight and leadership with the electronic data management system so that reports required are generated.
•The Director hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates professional staff and support staff, interns, graduate, and undergraduate students.
•The Director ensures departmental and institutional compliance with appropriate legal mandates and relevant policies/procedures. Procures and maintains office and adaptive equipment.
•Prepares annual report of AACE services for the University and for the Board of Regents
•Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Minimum Hiring Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and six years of related experience, of which 4 years were in a supervisory role; a combination of education and experience.
Preferred Hiring Qualifications:
Knowledge of ADA and the University System Board of Regents policies.
  • Knowledge of custodial service practices, techniques, and procedures preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Georgia State University (GSU) campus, buildings and facilities, preferred.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to pass criminal background investigation.
