Geotab is Hiring a Software Developer, Generative AI Near Atlanta, GA

Who you are:

We are always looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our growth and deliver results! Geotab is seeking a Software Developer who will be instrumental in the development and integration of state-of-the-art generative AI capabilities, with a particular focus on Large Language Models (LLMs), into Geotab’s product offerings. If you love technology, and are keen to join an industry leader — we would love to hear from you!

What you'll do:

As a Software Developer your key area of responsibility will be to design and deploy AI-driven applications, enriching products and services with intelligent generative features, and upholding the entire lifecycle of generative AI solutions. You will engage closely with cross-functional teams to weave LLMs into diverse products and services while providing technical leadership and stewardship throughout all phases of the product life cycle. You will also be a mentor for the rest of the team to share best practices for AI product development. To be successful in this role you will be a self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills, and have the ability to quickly understand complex, technical concepts

How you'll make an impact

  • Design and deploy applications that harness the power of Large Language Models to provide innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate LLMs within various enterprise products and services.
  • Optimize and customize LLM applications according to specific case requirements, prioritizing efficiency and scalability.
  • Remain updated on cutting-edge advancements in AI/ML in areas related to LLMs, Agents, retrieval augmented generation (RAG), and Generative AI.
  • Lead the full product lifecycle from initial ideation to deployment and ongoing maintenance.
  • Develop methodology for LangChain utilization and engage with vector databases to enhance Generative AI applications.
  • Apply LLM expertise in a product-focused manner, sharing passion through professional or personal project involvement.
  • Navigate the research environment's inherent uncertainties with ease.
  • Resolve complex technical challenges with innovative solutions.
  • Communicate intricate AI concepts and data insights in a clear, digestible manner for stakeholders not specialized in ML/AI.
  • Engage collaboratively with data scientists to gather requirements and provide technical expertise in the integration of generative AI capabilities with data science workflows
  • Create and maintain documentation for architecture, requirements, and process flows.

What you'll bring to the role

    • 5 years of experience as a software developer with experience working on AI/ML/LLM applications
Proficiency in Python programming with 3 years of hands-on experience, coupled with best practice knowledge.
    • Experience in working with LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or AutoGen to construct scalable Generative AI applications strongly preferred.
    • Familiarity with vector databases and their practical implementation and optimization techniques.
    • Experience building RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) applications is a plus.
    • Solid understanding of LLMs, including prompt engineering, fine-tuning, LLMOps, function-calling, and retrieval augmented generation.
    • Commercial software engineering experience with a strong foundation in coding and a keen interest in Generative AI.
    • Ability to leverage Generative AI knowledge in a product-centric manner.
    • Proven experience dealing with ambiguous problems typically found in a research environment.
    • Exceptional communication skills with the aptitude to simplify complex concepts for an audience less familiar with ML/AI.
    • Experience with API design and implementation.
If you got this far, we hope you're feeling excited about this role! Even if you don't feel you meet every single requirement, we still encourage you to apply.
