Geotemps, Inc. is Hiring a Filter Operator Near Kingman, AZ

As a Flotation Operator, your primary responsibility will be to operate and oversee the flotation processes within our Crushing, Milling, and Flotation Plant. This critical role involves ensuring the efficient separation of Copper and Molybdenum minerals from the ore through flotation techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and oversee flotation machinery and equipment to achieve production targets safely and efficiently.
  • Perform pre-operational checks and regular inspections of equipment to ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues.
  • Adjust equipment settings and process parameters to maintain product specifications and maximize throughput in flotation operations.
  • Monitor material flow and adjust feed rates as necessary to optimize production efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with fellow operators and maintenance teams to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement timely corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate production records and report production data as required.
  • Strictly adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Flotation Operator in a mineral processing plant, with a focus on Copper and Molybdenum flotation.
  • Strong understanding of flotation processes, including knowledge of flotation cells and associated equipment.
  • Ability to interpret process flow diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and equipment manuals related to flotation operations.
  • Familiarity with basic maintenance practices and troubleshooting techniques specific to flotation equipment.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures relevant to mineral processing operations.
  • Effective team player with the ability to work independently in a dynamic production environment.
  • Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members and supervisors.
Education and Certifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical training or certification in mineral processing or a related field preferred.
Criteria/Conditions:
  • This is a Safety sensitive role.
  • Work may be performed in a manufacturing plant which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electric shock, toxic chemicals, fumes, or airborne particles.
  • While performing duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear, see, and work in confined spaces.
  • Occasionally may be asked required to life moderately heavy to heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the workday.
  • Personal protective equipment is required on a regular basis, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves, and other protective equipment as required.
  • May be required to work rotating shifts in a 24/7/365 operation.
