Overview
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Program Manager to lead and manage the full lifecycle of our ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) implementation project. This is a key role that will be responsible for the successful delivery of the ERP system, ensuring it meets business goals, stays within budget, and is completed on schedule. The ideal candidate will have strong program management experience, a deep understanding of ERP systems, and the ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Execution:
- Lead the end-to-end management of the ERP implementation program, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing phases.
2. Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for all internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership, department heads, and ERP vendors.
- Facilitate regular status meetings with project stakeholders to review progress, risks, and roadblocks.
- Ensure that business users are adequately engaged, their needs are prioritized, and the ERP solution aligns with their operational requirements.
3. Risk & Issue Management:
- Identify potential risks and issues, proactively taking steps to mitigate them.
- Develop and manage risk mitigation strategies to ensure the project stays on track and within scope.
- Escalate unresolved issues or significant risks to the executive team promptly.
4. Budget & Resource Management:
- Oversee the project budget, ensuring cost-effective delivery while managing scope changes and preventing cost overruns.
- Lead resource allocation and management, ensuring the right talent is in place to meet project needs.
- Work with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, finance, and HR, to ensure timely availability of resources.
5. Change Management & Training:
- Lead change management efforts, ensuring smooth transitions for users and business operations during ERP implementation.
- Collaborate with the training team to design and implement user training programs, ensuring staff are adequately prepared to use the new ERP system.
- Monitor user adoption and resolve any adoption-related issues.
6. ERP Vendor and Technology Management:
- Manage relationships with ERP vendors, ensuring the solution meets the company’s needs and stays within the agreed timeline and budget.
- Ensure the technical architecture of the ERP system is aligned with IT infrastructure, including integration with other enterprise systems.
- Oversee the selection and management of third-party vendors, consultants, or contractors involved in the implementation.
7. Reporting & Documentation:
- Develop and maintain program documentation, including progress reports, meeting minutes, risk logs, and issue logs.
- Provide regular status updates to senior leadership, highlighting key progress and potential challenges.
- Prepare post-implementation reports, including lessons learned and recommendations for future projects.
- Develop a comprehensive project plan, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technology requirements.
- Define and communicate project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Oversee the project schedule, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s Degree is a plus.
- 8 years of experience in IT project or program management, with at least 3-5 years of experience managing ERP implementations (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Strong understanding of ERP systems and related technologies (cloud-based or on-premise solutions).
- Proven experience managing large, cross-functional teams and complex projects.
- Experience with full project lifecycles, from requirements gathering through to post-implementation support.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or similar Agile certification is a plus.
- Experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams including business analysts, developers, functional consultants, and subject matter experts.
- Familiarity with specific ERP platforms and integrations with other business systems such as CRM, HRIS, or financial software.
