Position: Sales Manager | Chemical Process Equipment

Location: Flexible work location, ideally situated near a major airport in the US. Candidates must be available for frequent nationwide travel (50% ) as well as occasional travel to German HQ.

For their recently established US subsidiary, our client, a global dynamic glass-lined equipment manufacturer headquartered in Germany, revolutionizes the chemical processing industry on a global scale. Renowned by major clients in the chemical and pharmaceutical sectors, they specialize in glass-lined process equipment featuring chemically resistant and defect-free glass coatings. The company’s innovative products, such as the power baffle and heat exchanger, guarantee enhanced heat transfer, improved economic efficiency, energy savings, and heightened productivity in chemical processes.

Position Summary:

Our client is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead the companies’ expansion efforts and drive growth in the North American market, with a particular focus on the chemical or pharmaceutical sectors. This pivotal role presents an exceptional opportunity for career advancement and to shape your position within the company’s strategic framework. The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record of expanding customer bases, coupled with a comprehensive understanding of process equipment. They are looking for a self-starter capable of effectively liaising between their German headquarters and local sales rep teams. Thorough training and onboarding will be provided to ensure a seamless integration into their products and processes.

As the Sales Manager your role encompasses:

  • Collaborate with the President/General Manager to identify, create, and implement strategic plans to achieve business objectives effectively.
  • Create and implement approaches to generate leads, fostering important connections within targeted sectors.
  • Drive business growth by spearheading innovative strategies to attract and secure new clients, overseeing the entire sales process from inception to completion.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for the company, portraying its values and mission to enhance brand perception and effectively communicate its message to stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, representing the company in the US market. Ensure prompt and accurate resolution of technical queries or coordinate with the appropriate team member when necessary.
  • Actively participate in trade shows, industry events, and gatherings to showcase the products and services, effectively engaging with prospective clients.
  • Take full ownership of the sales lifecycle, from initial prospecting to final implementation, ensuring a seamless and satisfactory experience for clients throughout.

What our client Is looking for:

  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, preferably focused on capital equipment utilized in chemical production.
  • A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, process or chemical engineering, or related field.
  • Prior experience in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry is highly preferred.
  • Experience in opening new markets and establishing new customers.
  • Proficiency in building rapport, adept communication, and confident presentation skills to engage with diverse clients and industry professionals.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently, organize, prioritize, and complete tasks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $110,000.00 per year
