GESTRA Engineering is a consulting firm specializing in geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing. GESTRA was founded in 2000 to provide Government Agencies, Municipalities, Engineers, Architects and Contractors with high quality and cost efficient engineering services. Our projects range in size and complexity from large development projects to small challenging assignments. To enhance the capabilities of technical personnel, GESTRA maintains in house and external training programs. GESTRA provides a wide range of services, starting during the initial planning and feasibility studies to project completion.

Our geotechnical exploration and engineering services help engineers, architects and developers in selecting a suitable site, understanding the potential problems, determining the most suitable foundation type and estimating the soil bearing capacities. During the construction phase, GESTRA provides a full range of construction material quality control and quality assurance services to help maintain compliance with the project plan and specifications.
Our firm is looking for a highly motivated and reliable individual who would be responsible for assisting our Administration Department as a Project Accountant. They would be primarily working with our Owner, Admin Department Manager, Internal Project Managers and Wisconsin Department of Transportation team members as needed.
Qualifications
Knowledge of CARS and Masterworks Online Portals
Experience working with Department of Transportation Accounting/Financials/Audit
Associates degree or at least five years of experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent active listening skills
Great customer service skills and responsiveness
Possesses soft skills and exudes them
Manages time and task list/personal scheduling
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities
Possesses enthusiasm for organization and cleanliness
Mains professional appearance and attitude at all times
Ability to handle confidential materials discreetly and efficiently
Proven ability to work independently and with initiative in completing work assignments and meeting deadlines
Advanced Microsoft skills to include Outlook, Excel, Word
Knowledge in QuickBooks Desktop (Current)
Knowledge of QuickBooks Online (Transitioning to)
Has technical prowess and experience
Can type at least 40-60 wpm
Produces work with a high level of accuracy
Demonstrated accuracy in grammar, spelling and proofing
Ability to sit for 8 hours at a time
Responsibilities:
Use CARS and Masterworks Online portals for Department of Transportation Projects
Process WisDOT Audits as needed
Help improve our WisDOT Project Processes and assist in training team members as needed
Accounts Receivables as needed
Monthly cycle of invoice reation
Maintain accurate records of financial transactions
Update and maintain the general ledger
Monthly reconciliation of entries
Recording of debits and credits
Monthly creation of Reports like Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss Statement, Indicator Report
May Assist Admin Department with following tasks in relation Office Work Flow:
· Assists with shredding of old documents, filing, inventory, organization and tidying.
· Maintains general and confidential files for department
· Incumbent will fill-in where necessary for phone coverage, vacations or illness
· General office skills including making single copies and scans
· Answers routine questions requiring knowledge of business function
· Typing and Data Entry Duties- correct format, correcting any spelling or grammatical errors
· Information Tracking in Microsoft Excel
· Working with Clients/Vendors and troubleshooting
· Performs other duties, as requested

Admin office hours are Mon-Fri between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm with 1 hour lunch
Assisting Owner, Admin Department Manager, Project Managers as needed
