This teacher position is a 10-month / full-time position that reports and works closely with the Principal and Vice Principal for Academic Affairs.

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 2-3 years of teaching experience (preferred)
• Candidates must exhibit a genuine commitment to the mission / philosophy of Gesu School.
• Candidates must establish effective communication and organizational skills.
• Candidates must foster healthy working relationships with staff, students, parents & colleagues.

Position Duties and Responsibilities :

• Create a classroom environment that provides for student involvement in the learning process and enables each student to achieve learning objectives through effective teaching.
• Exemplify the educational mission, philosophy, goals and MAGIS of the school as articulated in the IHM and Jesuit Catholic Tradition.
• Observe of all school regulations pertaining to his / her employment.
• Perform professional responsibilities not limited to planning lessons, preparing instructional material, taking attendance, lunch count, serving on staff committees, conferring with parents, maintaining positive relationships.
• Complete of requirements for obtaining / maintaining clearances and induction.
• Prepare trimester written reports to inform parents of student progress, and participate in regularly scheduled conferences with students and parents when assistance is needed in the process of academic and personal growth.
