Job SummaryAs a Proposal Writer/Administrative Assistant, you'll be instrumental in crafting proposals and overseeing administrative duties crucial to our business development initiatives. This role demands strong writing prowess, meticulous attention to detail, and adeptness at juggling multiple projects.
Key ResponsibilitiesProposal Writing:
Conduct thorough research, draft, and refine proposals to seize new business opportunities.
Collaborate closely with subject matter experts to ensure proposals align with client needs.
Maintain an organized database of proposal resources for streamlined future use.
Administrative SupportProvide comprehensive administrative assistance, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and handling correspondence.
Aid in document preparation and formatting for various purposes.
Facilitate travel arrangements and manage expense reports.
Project ManagementKeep track of proposal deadlines, ensuring timely submissions.
Establish and maintain orderly electronic and physical filing systems for proposals and administrative tasks.
Offer support on special projects and tasks as required.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in English, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
2 years of experience in proposal writing or administrative support, with a preference for experience in a similar industry.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Canva, Google Suite, and virtual meeting platforms.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred QualificationsFamiliarity with proposal management software and tools.
Knowledge of government contracting processes at local, state, and federal levels.
Proficient research skills and ability to gather information from diverse sources.
