Join a leading hospital system and healthcare provider in the Kearny Mesa/San Diego area as a Service Center Representative. This role demands critical thinking, strong computer skills, and the ability to make independent decisions.
As a Service Center Rep, you'll primarily handle data entry (80%) and outbound calls (20%) to support health plan enrollment. Your responsibilities will include account maintenance, billing, reconciliation, reporting, and customer service activities. This may involve database maintenance, research tasks, contracts administration, cash control operations, medical record number assignment, contract and member ID card distribution, facilities support, and document entry into the workflow imaging system.
Required QualificationsMinimum of 2 years' experience in accounting, finance, or a related field (heavy data entry experience preferred)
Proficiency in math, data entry, typing, spelling, and grammar
Computer literacy with the ability to navigate multiple screens and websites simultaneously
High School Diploma or equivalent
Successful completion of assessments in Data Entry, Thoroughness, and Learning Potential
Preferred QualificationsPrior experience in healthcare
Previous involvement in roles requiring complex problem-solving, particularly related to billing
Work ArrangementInitial onsite training in San Diego, CA; thereafter, remote work
Candidates must reside within a one-hour radius of the 92108 zip code and be prepared to commute to the office in case of equipment issues
Full-time onsite work is an option for those who prefer it, though the role is primarily remote
ScheduleMonday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm PT (with breaks)
Compensation$24.50 per hour
